The short version
- Our calculators run on your own phone or computer. Nothing you type is sent to us or anyone else.
- We never ask for your NIC number, TIN, IRD PIN or password, or bank details. Please never send these to anyone.
- We use simple analytics only if you tap "OK" on the cookie notice.
What analytics collect (only after you tap "OK")
If you agree, we use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. They collect:
- which pages you open, and roughly how long you stay;
- the type of phone or computer and browser;
- your approximate area (city level), from your internet address;
- which buttons you tap, such as "Share on WhatsApp" or "Was this clear? 👍 👎".
They do not get anything you type into a calculator.
We use this only to learn which pages help people, so we can write better posts.
Your choice
- If you tap "No thanks", no analytics are loaded.
- Your choice is saved in your own browser. To change it, clear this site's data in your browser settings, and the notice will appear again.
- We also save your text-size choice in your browser. It never leaves your device.
Forms and WhatsApp
If you send us a question through our form or WhatsApp, we receive what you write and your contact details (for WhatsApp, your phone number).
- We use them only to reply to you.
- We keep them for no longer than 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- The form provider (for example Tally or Google Forms) and WhatsApp also handle this data under their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Act, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- stop using it.
